Forza Motorsport 2
Xbox 360

Forza is one of those games that take a little work to make. And by a little I mean more than one single person could ever do in a lifetime. When you play the game, its pretty and fun and all the bells and whistles will be there, but it takes a good bit of playing for you to fully realize the scope of what is happening in front of you. From adjusting the strength of the brakes on your VW Golf, to fine tuning the paintjob on your Lotus Esprit, Forza 2 really does present you with a wealth of things to do with your vehicles. The game also provides a great system of making the game fun for people who aren’t perfect gearheads, with things such as an on-track suggested racing line for you to follow, and ABS braking and tracking control. Just like the previous Forza game, Forza 2 has a strong online element, allowing you to adjust and tweak your car both inside and out, and you can even sell your souped up car to friends online. If you love racing or even like it just a little, you have got to give Forza 2 a try.

And if you can, try using the Microsoft racing wheel for the 360, as it’s pretty much made for this game.

Odin Sphere
Playstation 2

Sometimes, when a new game console comes around, the last line of releases for its predecessor tends to be overlooked. It’s an unfortunate thing, too, because that is usually when some of the best games are released. Now that the PS3 has come to replace the PS2, games like Odin Sphere don’t tend to make the limelight. It really should though, because this is probably one of the most beautifully illustrated RPG-action-adventure games to be released for the console. With absolutely huge storylines and an innovative way of reviewing events that have happened along your adventure, this game has the potential to keep you entertained for weeks. Odin Sphere plays a bit like your average beat-‘em-up game, only pumped with steroids for awesome gameplay and oil paints for the visual polish. I’d highly recommend this game to any PS2 owning RPG fan.
