Time Travel

Well I thought the summer was finally here, but obviously not. I know it’s a little early to be hoping for the summer, but going from 80 to 44 degrees is no fun. Things are looking up though. My poor little car is getting fixed! I have been driving around with a huge ugly dent on my passenger side door for nearly three months now and she’s actually in the shop. I thought this day would never come because my ex wanted to pay cash to fix the $2,000 damage that he caused. Now I can turn my focus to other things.

I have a gigantic midterm on Thursday and I’m freaking out. I have taken this teacher before and the class was hard, but I like the material so I payed attention and pulled off an A. Now, it’s the same deal, but she wants us to memorize 50 works of art with the artist, title, and date. Plus short answer questions and an essay. I started studying, but I’m so bad at it. I always either find myself daydreaming or thinking about what I wore last night, or even worse, I fall asleep. I’m really bad about falling asleep. I probably get more sleep than most people I know, but I’m always tired. I’ve almost fallen asleep while driving at like 4 in the afternoon. I think I have weird blood sugar or something because everyday, no matter what, I get tired around 1pm and 4pm. I could wake up at noon and be tired again in an hour.

Aside from my narcolepsy, after Thursday’s midterm I have one more test in another art class and two assignments to turn in, but when it’s all over I get to celebrate with The Wailers! I’m so excited because I saw them last year in Orlando around May and it was so much fun. I’m gonna party it down because then I have ROAR auditions, another assignment, and one more test, BUT after that is Spring Break! I can’t wait to be tan again. I’m one of those people that forces a tan on their body, because my skin would rather burn, but I roast and roast until finally a tan appears. You have to pre-tan for the summer. I don’t go to the tanning beds, they scare me, so I’ll be in the sun everyday over Spring break. Plus the Lemon Bar is opening this weekend.

So just to add on to the madness, I’m also gonna work my butt off over Spring break so I can attempt to pay off my credit card, which would be a miracle. All of this will lead to my twenty-second birthday!!!! Then I will be taking another mini vacation at Islands of Adventure in Orlando for my final dance competition. Of course there’s always a bump in the road, finals. However, after finals I will be graduating.... and then SUMMER!

It’s like a race and I can see myself busting through the tape at the end tromping into the summer.
