New to the Game
Haley ReepToday is my second day on the job and I like the way things are going around here. Being the low person on the totem pole is never fun, but you have to start somewhere. Graduating is something I look forward to everyday. I can finally get a real job and leave the pizza slinging behind. Four years of working in a restaurant is more than enough for anyone to have to put themselves through. I’m ready for the real money to come rolling in. Of course with that thought comes the never ending potential heart attack stress I get from thinking about how hard finding a good job will be. As much as I want school to be over I feel like everyone these days is getting their Masters, and having only a BS degree is so five years ago.
Well if all else fails I can always marry rich and become a trophy wife. I’ll set the Bachelor’s degree aside, get my real estate license, drink martinis at lunch and work out profusely, ONLY IF I can’t invent something first. So many choices! Fortunately I do have a realistic plan for my future, the trophy wife thing is just my backup. As much as I think I should get my Master’s, just thinking about more money and more school gives me a migraine. I want to graduate and find a job that I really like. As important as money is to my superficial spending habits, I overall want to enjoy my job.
That said, I can’t wait to see how everything pans out.
