Expect the Unexpected
Haley ReepI hope that something fun happens this Valentine’s Day. Every holiday that rolls around comes with high expectations, at least for me. This year I am going into Valentine’s Day with absolutely No expectations. To make things even more interesting, I might skip the holiday all together. I have to work Thursday night, which I think will be fun because I love to people watch and see which guys think Al’s Pizza is a happenin romantic spot to bring their dates. Then I’m going to Atlanta the next day for the entire weekend.
To me this is a game because first of all, I wonder if my boyfriend even knows Valentine’s Day is coming up. Second, I wonder is he remembers me telling him I have to work. Finally, I doubt he remembers me saying anything about going out of town Friday, which means he’s going to forget, then try to make it up that weekend, but I’ll be gone. Sick? Yes, but I might as well turn it into a game because I don’t blame my boyfriend, I think Valentine’s Day is pointless anyway. It’s a way for Hallmark to make some extra money and we don’t even get the day off school. The beauty of it all is to see what happens.
