America's Next Top Model

Whitney Wins America’s Next Top Model!

Atlantic Beach’s Whitney Thompson was crowned the winner of America’s Next Top Model! The twenty year old beat out Anya (2nd runner-up) and Fatima to become the first plus-size model to take top honors on America’s Next Top Model. All three finalists did a remarkable job on the finale, but in the end Whitney brought the goods. She was “fierce” on the runway and her CoverGirl ad and Seventeen pics were amazing.

Whitney was ecstatic about winning and said, “There’s definitely times I’ve looked in the mirror and looked at other girls and thought, I wasn’t like them,” she then added “I want other women in America to feel good about themselves…It’s amazing to be America’s Next Top Model. This is exactly what I want. This is what I’ve always wanted!”

As the winner of America’s Next Top Model, Whitney Thompson has won a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl, a six-page spread in Seventeen magazine and a contract with Elite Model Management.

congrats whitney, You were a shoe-in from the start.  I saw it in Tyra’s eyes as well as the Judges.  they only took you thru that process to see if you had character as well as beauty and not to appear bias to the other girls.
